
Bears Complete Yale Invitational In 9th Place

New Haven, Conn. - In the final tune-up before next week's Ivy League Championship, Brown placed ninth at the Yale Spring Invitational with a 36-hole team total of 603 on rounds of 301-302 at the Yale Golf Course in New Haven, Conn. Junior Kevin Li had a Top 5 finish individually for the Bears, shooting 71-73-144 to pace the Bears and place fifth individually.
Yale won its own tournament by 20 shots with a 36-hole 569, outdistancing Drexel (589), Penn (589), Cornell (591), George Washington (597), St. John's (597), Bucknell (598), Fordham (600), Brown (603), Fairfield (606), Colgate (617), Sienna (622) and St. Francis-NY (657).
Sophomore Sasha Lobel came in 19th individually at 149 on rounds of 73-76, while senior captain Connor Lynch shot 76-75—151, 24th individually.
Senior Chad Carlson posted scores of 84-78—162, while junior Ben Warner shot 81-83—164.
The Ivy Championship is a 54-hole tournament held over three days, April 21-23, at the Stanwich Club in Greenwich, Conn.
