
Men's Tennis Records 5-2 Win Over Louisiana at Lafayette

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's tennis team defeated Louisiana at Lafayette, 5-2, on Saturday at the Pizzitola Sports Center. After dropping the doubles point, the Bears got on track and won five singles matches en route to their victory.
The Ragin' Cajuns picked up wins in first and second doubles to claim the doubles points and take a 1-0 lead in the match.
Louisiana at Lafayette would only win one other match, first singles, as the Bears would close out singles play with five victories.
Junior Jack Haworth (Corby, England) registered a 6-3, 6-1 win in second singles and junior Aaron Sandberg (Hudson, Ohio) followed in third singles with a 6-0, 6-3 victory. Senior Lucas Da Silveira (Incline Village, Nev.) next posted a 6-4, 6-2 win in fourth singles while freshman Peter Litsky (St. Petersburg, Fla.) picked up a 6-2, 6-1 triumph in fifth singles. Freshman Jacob Walker (Bethesda, Md.) closed out the action in sixth singles with a 6-3, 6-1 showing.
After a break, the Bears will resume action at Harvard on Friday, April 7 for a 2:00 p.m. match.
