
Men's Soccer Earns Five All-Ivy Selections, English and Hagstrom Named First Team

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Senior Quinn English (Milwaukee, Wis.) and junior Jack Hagstrom (Middleton, Wis.) of the Brown men's soccer team earned First Team All-Ivy honors as five Bears collected league accolades, the Ivy League announced on Thursday.
In addition to First Team honors, senior defender Louis Zingas (Warren, Mich.) was named to the Second Team. Fellow seniors Nico Lozada (Dallas, Texas) and James Myall (St. Charles, Ill.) were both named Honorable Mention All-Ivy.
Hagstrom was named First Team All-Ivy for the third time is as many seasons, becoming the program's first three-time recipient since Dylan Remick in 2012. The center back scored a goal against Harvard and anchored a Brown backline that ranked third in the league in goals allowed. Hagstrom also led the Bears in minutes played during Ivy games.
English put together an impressive senior campaign for the Bears as he led the team with five assists and ranked second in both goals (3) and points (11). He paced the lineup with six points in Ivy League play, highlighted by a three-point effort against Penn and a game winner against Princeton.
Zingas, a team co-captain, collected Second Team All-Ivy honors for the second straight season. He started all 17 games on defense, including every Ivy League contest, and also added an assist against Holy Cross.
Lozada earned All-Ivy accolades for the second time in his career. The midfielder was third on the team in goals (2), assists (3) and points (7), and scored the game-winning goal in the overtime win against Penn.
Myall, a two-time team captain, earned All-Ivy honors for this first time in his career. He started all seven Ivy League games, racking up 674 minutes played in the league, and also added an assist in the win over Penn.
