Piscataway, NJ - The Brown women's golf team shot a 54-hole total of 962 to place eighth at the Rutgers Invitational, played at the Rutgers University Golf Course.
Delaware ran away with the team title for the second straight year with a 54-hole 919, outdistancing second place Rutgers (634) by 15 shots. St. John's placed third at 937, followed by Sacred Heart (942), Albany (943), Fairleigh Dickinson (956), Seton Hall 956), Brown (962), Wagner (965), Hartford (1004, Hofstra (1014) and LIU (1024).
Juniors Sienna Chapman and Christine Kim paced the Bears, each shooting a three round 234 to place 14th individually. Chapman shot 81-76-77, while Kim came in at 82-74-78.
Bears' freshman Maadeline Garay shot 83-81-82—246, while sophomore Elizabeth Doykan came in at 83-80-85—248. In addition, junior Megan Hauptman scored at 84-86-95—275.
Brown is back in action again October 1-2 at the Princeton Invitational at the Springdale Country Club.
