Bears Place 3rd At Brown Bear Match Play Tournament

Portsmouth, R.I.- In its final tune-up for next week's Ivy League Championship, coach Danielle Griffith's Brown women's golf team finished third at the Brown Bear Match Play Tournament after earning a 5-3 win over Dartmouth Sunday afternoon at the Carnegie Abbey Golf Club. Princeton defeated Penn 4.5 – 3.5 to capture the team championship.
Earning wins for the Bears vs. Dartmouth was sophomore Christine Kim, freshman Sasha Banks, junior Rosie Lederhausen, senior Juliette Garay and junior Julie Lym.
On Saturday, the Bears fell to Princeton by a 6.5 – 1.5 margin. Banks came through to earn a point for the Bears, while freshman Elizabeth Doykan halved with Princeton for a half point.
Brown will compete in the Ivy League Championship, April 22-24 at the Stanwich Club in Greenwich, Ct.
