
No. 67 Women's Tennis Edged by No. 33 Columbia, 4-3

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The No. 67 Brown women's tennis team was defeated, 4-3, at No. 33 Columbia on Sunday at the Dick Savitt Tennis Center. The Bears won the doubles point but it was Columbia that took four of three singles matches to claim the overall win.
Junior Dayna Lord (Bloomfield, Conn.) and sophomore Alyza Benotto (Los Angeles, Calif.) won first singles 6-3, and senior Hannah Camhi (Woodbury, N.Y.) and freshman Katie Ta (Mission Viejo, Calif.) followed with a 6-3 victory in second doubles to finish out the win for the Bears.
Columbia won first and second singles before Camhi came back won her third doubles match, 2-6, 6-2, 6-3. Ammu Mandalap (Princeton Junction, N.J.) later won sixth singles, 6-4, 7-5, but Columbia claimed fourth and fifth singles to win the match.
The Bears will next host Dartmouth on Friday, April 15 in their lone Ivy League match of the weekend, starting at 2:00 p.m.
