Women's Golf Places 13th At John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate

Stockbridge, Ga. - Brown's women's golf team completed play at the 23rd Annual John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate, finishing 13th in the three-day tournament played at the par-72 Eagle's Landing Country Club. The Bears posted a 54-hole 947 on rounds of 316-324-307.
Elon ran away with the team championship, shooting 887 to win the title by 12 shots over Western Kentucky (899). Western Michigan placed third (904), followed by Florida Gulf Coast (905), Western Carolina (910), Eastern Kentucky (910), CSU Fullerton (915), South Alabama (919), Georgia State (923), UAB (930), Appalachian State (931), Illinois State (938), Brown (947), Louisiana Monroe (982) and Central Michigan (994).
Pacing the Bears was sophomore Christine Kim, who put together rounds of 79-79-76—234 to place 40th individually. Freshman Sasha Banks opened with rounds of 78-89, but came back in the final round with a sizzling one-under par 71 to finish with a 54-hole 238, good for 53rd place.
Junior Rosanna Lederhausen posted rounds of 81-81-78—240, finishing three shots ahead of freshman Elizabeth Doykan, who shots rounds of 80-81-82—243. Senior Lauren Flynn finished the 54-hole tournament at 245 on rounds of 79-83-83.
The Bears also entered three individuals, including senior Juliette Garay, who shot 87-81-83—253, junior Julie Lym, who posted rounds of 86-88-85—259, and sophomore Megan Hauptman, who shot 94-95-92—281.
Coach Danielle Griffith's team will be idle until the Brown Bear Match Play Tournament, played at the Carnegie Abbey Club in Portsmouth, RI on April 16-17.
