
Women's Hockey Defeated 3-0 at St. Lawrence

CANTON, N.Y. – The Brown women's hockey team fell to St. Lawrence, 3-0, in its season finale at Appleton Arena on Sunday. The Saints scored a goal in each period to claim the win.
St. Lawrence (15-13-6, 9-8-5) scored its first tally of the game at 5:02 when Justine Reyes recorded the goal with Kirsten Padalis and Lydia Grauer contributing the helpers. The Saints outshot Brown (3-23-3, 1-18-3) 13-6 in the opening stanza.
At 6:18 of the second, Reyes recorded her second goal of the game, giving St. Lawrence a 2-0 lead. Amanda Boulier notched the assist. The Bears increased their offensive output significantly in the period, generating 10 shots while St. Lawrence had 11.
The Saints closed their scoring in the third at 8:13 with a Hannah Miller tally. Kenne Marchment received credit for the assist. St. Lawrence concluded the period with a 14-7 lead in shots over Brown.
For the contest, Brown was 0-for-4 on the power play and its penalty kill unit went 2-for-2 for fighting off infractions. St. Lawrence ended with a 38-23 lead in shots.
Sophomore Julianne Landry (Hanover, Mass.) ended the game with 35 saves in net while Grace Harrison earned the win for St. Lawrence with 22 saves. Mikaela Thompson posted one save in 2:45 of action.
