
Women's Hockey's Alley Rempe Named ECAC Rookie of the Week

ALBANY, N.Y. – Brown women's hockey freshman Alley Rempe (Calgary, Alberta) was named ECAC Rookie of the Week after recording a team-high six points, on two goals and four assists, in a weekend sweep over Sacred Heart, the conference announced on Tuesday. Rempe tallied a goal and two assists in each of the team's two games to open the 2016-17 season.
In her first collegiate contest on Friday, a 6-3 win over the Pioneers, Rempe's first-career point was a power-play goal in the first period. The forward next had the primary assist on the game-winning goal before recording her final helper of the night on Brown's fifth goal.
On Saturday, in a 7-0 blanking of Sacred Heart, Rempe scored the game's first goal which was a shorthanded tally. The rookie added two more assists to duplicate her Friday performance while adding a +4 plus/minus.
The Bears next open conference play, hosting No. 9 Princeton on Friday Oct. 28 and No. 5 Quinnipiac on Saturday, Oct. 29 at Meehan Auditorium. The first game of the weekend starts at 6:00 p.m. while the second begins at 3:00 p.m.
