NEW HAVEN, Conn. – In its season finale, the Brown men's tennis team dropped a tough 5-2 decision to Yale at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center on Saturday.
The Bears finish the season at 15-8 overall and 1-6 in league play under first-year head coach Bryan Koniecko.
The Bulldogs jumped out early, claiming the doubles point thanks to the 50th-ranked pair of Fedor Andrienko/Stefan Doehler's win over Brown's Brandon Yeoh/Justin To, 6-1.
In singles play, the Bears battled Yale to three-sets in three of the six matches, but could only muster two victories, as Gregory Garcia defeated Zigi Wang, 6-3, 6-4 and Peter Tarwid sailed past Daniel Faierman, 7-6, 6-2.
