
Brown Finishes 14th at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic

Brown escaped the inclement weather of New England and placed 14th at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic with a three-round score of 953 (325-318-310) in its opening tournament of the spring season played at The Bay Course in Kapalua, Hawaii.
UC Davis captured the team championship with a 54-hole 863, followed by Texas (871), Louisville (874), SMU (878), Oregon (879), San Jose State (884), Gonzaga (889), Oregon State (898), Santa Clara (912), UC Riverside (921), Hawaii (922), Portland State (930), Xavier (934), Brown (953) and Texas Pan American (1004).
The Bears, who showed improvement in each round, were paced by freshman Sienna Chapman, who shot a 54-hole 236 on rounds of 82-76-78, to place 55th individually. Freshman Christine Kim also excelled for the Bears, finishing 72nd individually on rounds of 85-79-74—238.
Sophomore Rosanna Lederhausen came in at 243 on rounds of 80-86-77, while senior Cassandra Carothers shot 82-82-82—245. Senior Stephanie Hsieh also scored for the Bears with rounds of 81-81-87—249.
Brown also had four competitors entered as individuals. Junior Juliette Garay was 75th individually, shooting 75-83-88—246. Lauren Flynn, a junior, shot 82-85-83—250, while freshman Megan Hauptman shot 86-90-88—264 and sophomore Julie Lym carded 98-96-85—279.
The Bears return to the Northeast to host the Brown Invitational, April 12-13, at the Metacomet Country Club in East Providence, RI.
