PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's tennis team snapped a two-match losing skid with a 4-2 triumph over Boston University on Saturday afternoon at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
Brown improves to 7-4 overall in dual match play this season, while the Terriers drop to 7-5.
The duos of Alyza Benotto/Dayna Lord and Hannah Camhi/Maddie Stearns helped lift the Bears to a sweep in doubles play, as Brown grabbed an early 1-0 lead.
#91 Dayna Lord cruised past Johanna Hyoty in the No. 1 singles slot, 6-4, 6-1, before Benotto followed suit with a 6-4, 6-2 win over BU's Lauren Davis. Nikita Uberoi grabbed Brown's other singles win on Saturday, triumphing over Madison Craft, 6-3, 6-2.
Up next, the Bears head south for a tough two-match road swing against Old Dominion and #34 William & Mary beginning on Thursday, March 26.
