Women's Tennis Edged by Drake, 4-3

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's tennis squad (10-5) dropped just its second match in the month of March as the Drake Bulldogs took a 4-3 victory on Thursday at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
No. 120 Dayna Lord and Hannah Camhi scored wins for the Bears in the No. 1 and No. 2 singles matches respectively, but Drake countered by claiming three of the next four and the lone doubles point to edge the Bears.
After the duo of Lord and Camhi took the opening doubles match, 8-1, Drake rallied to win the final two matches to earn the pivotal doubles point.
Ammu Mandalap also secured a win for the Brown on Thursday, as she edged the Bulldogs' Jordan Eggleston, 6-1, 7-6 (8).
The Bears will return to action next week as they head south to face Florida Atlantic and Florida International.
