PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's tennis team, currently ranked No. 65, overwhelmed the Bryant Bulldogs, 11-0, in a modified scoring format on Tuesday afternoon at the Pizzitola Sports Center. The Bears improve to 9-5 this season and extend their winning streak to five matches while the Bulldogs fall to 9-9 overall.
The teams competed in seven singles and four doubles matches, each counting for a point. Brown swept all matches on the day, led by Justin To's straight sets victory over Bryant's Dana Parziale in the top singles match.
William Spector, Daniel Hirschberg, Lucas Da Silveira, Ivan Kravtchenko, Thomas Nath, and David Neff all claimed singles victories on day. In doubles action, Brown triumphed in all four matches by a combined score of 32-13, led by the duo of To/Da Silveira, as the downed Bryant's top pair of Parziale and Zachary Morris.
Brown will return to action on March 25, as they travel south to battle Florida Atlantic before visiting South Florida on March 27.
