PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown field hockey defender Katarina Angus has been selected as one of 15 athletes named to the Canadian Senior Development Squad in an announcement made by Field Hockey Canada.
The Senior Development Squad is reserved for players who are considered close to breaking through to the Women's National Team and are continually making progress towards Senior International competition.
Angus, the West Vancouver, British Columbia native, provided stability to the Bears' defense in 2014, as the team allowed just 2.23 goals per contest this season.
A 2014 Honorable Mention All-Ivy selection, Angus posted the game-winning goal against Siena on Oct. 5 and registered three assists in 17 games. The sophomore has posted totals of four goals and four assists, while appearing in all 34 games of her collegiate career.
