PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown field hockey goalkeeper and senior tri-captain Shannon McSweeney competed at the 2014 NFHCA Senior Game held on the campus of the University of Maryland last Saturday.
The Boxborough, Massachusetts native excelled at the event, recording a shutout as her squad posted a 3-0 victory.
"The weekend was a blast and it was really exciting to play with girls who have so much skill," said McSweeney. "The game itself was a ton of fun and a high level of hockey."
McSweeney concluded her Brown career as the program's all-time saves leader with 628 saves. She started every game between the pipes for the Bears since 2011, recording 23 career victories and four shutouts. McSweeney was a First Team All-Ivy selection in 2014, a Second Team All-Ivy selection as a sophomore, and two-time All-Ivy Honorable Mention honoree.
