PROVIDENCE, R.I. – After a three-goal, nine-point performance in two victories over the weekend, Brown field hockey tri-captain Meghan O'Donnell was named Ivy League Player of the Week in an announcement made on Tuesday.
The Winchester, Massachusetts native scored twice in Brown's 4-3 double overtime win over Harvard on Saturday and followed suit with four-point performance against Siena on Sunday. O'Donnell's goal against the Saints on Sunday upped her career total to 36, tying her for Brown's all-time record for career goals scored alongside of Tara Mounsey '00.
O'Donnell earns her second Player of the Week selection this season, garnering the accolade back on Sept. 9 for posting seven points against Bryant and UMass Lowell in the season's opening weekend.
The Bears look to extend their winning streak to three on Wednesday as they travel to Quinnipiac to battle the Bobcats beginning at 3:30 p.m.
