Women's Tennis Triumphs Over UMass-Amherst, 6-1

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – After handing convincing defeats to Quinnipiac and Albany last weekend, the Brown women's tennis team continued its momentum with a 6-1 win over UMass-Amherst on Friday at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
Dayna Lord and Hannah Camhi continued their success in the #1 and #2 singles matches respectively, as Lord defeated Yuliana Motyl, 6-1, 6-2 before Camhi rallied to outlast Sonia Bokhari, 4-6, 6-2, 10-5.
Nikita Uberoi cruised past UMass' Jessica Podlofsky, 6-1, 6-1 in straight sets while Ammu Mandalap followed suit with a 6-1, 6-1 triumph over Anna Woosley.
Lord and Camhi teamed up to continue their doubles success, claiming a 6-3 decision over Arielle Griffin/Yuliana Motyl. Ashley Noyes and Mandalap recorded a win in the #3 doubles as they edged Chanel Glasper and Podlofsky, 6-3.
Brown returns to action next week, as they will compete at the ECAC Tournament from Feb. 7-9 at Columbia University.
