
Men's Tennis Falls to South Florida, 5-2

TAMPA, FL – The Brown men's tennis team (9-6) dropped a 5-2 decision to South Florida (7-7) in its final match during a spring break trip to Florida. USF won the doubles point and never looked back, earning wins in four of the six singles matches to take the 5-2 win.
In doubles action, Brown's team of junior Brandon Burke (Kingston, Jamaica) and sophomore William Spector (Weston, MA) claimed an 8-3 win at #2.
Spector then tied the match at 1-1 with a victory at #3 singles, defeating Guillermo De Vilchez, 6-0, 6-2. USF would regain the lead, winning at #4 singles, but sophomore Daniel Hirschberg (Westport, CT) picked up a victory at the #6 position to tie the score at 2-2. However, USF won the next three matches, clinching the decision with a victory at #1 singles.
Brown continues action on Saturday, March 30th, when it hosts Bryant and BU in a double header.
