James Develin '10 Signs New England Patriots

Providence, RI - Former Brown defensive end Jimmy Develin has been signed to the New England Patriots Practice Squad as a fullback. Develin spent the last two seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Two-time Pro Bowl selection and Super Bowl Champion Zak DeOssie '09 is active on the 53-man roster with the New York Giants.

A mechanical engineering concentrator at Brown, Develin was a three-time All-Ivy selection for the Bears, earning first team All-Ivy honors in 2009. He led the Ivy League and ranked sixth in the nation in tackles for a loss with 16 (1.6 per game). An All-New England selection, Develin finished the 2009 season with 53 total tackles and five quarterback sacks.
