
Bears Place 8th At Ivy League Men's Golf Championship

Galloway, N.J. – Despite an eighth place finish at the 2012 Ivy League Men's Golf Championship, the Brown men's golf team earned a bit of redemption with the fourth best score (308) in Sunday's final round, played at the par 71 Galloway National Golf Club.
Brown shot a 54-hole 974, while Penn (917) took home the team championship, defeating Dartmouth on the third playoff hole to claim the Ivy League Championship.
The Bears had some strong final day scores, starting with junior Nelson Hargrove, who shot a one-over par 72, to finish the 54-hole tournament at 244.
Brown was once again led by the outstanding play of freshman Justin Miller, who was Brown's top player with a 54-hole 239 after shooting 75 on Sunday.
Freshman Jon Greb shot 82 in the final round and shot a 54-hole 256, while junior captain JD Ardell shot 79 to finish at 254. Sophomore Peter Callas also came in at 254 after a final round 88.
