
No. 12 Brown Water Polo Defeats MIT, 12-9

The Engineers got on the scoreboard in the first 30 seconds of the match when Craig Cheney put one past Brown goalkeeper Walker Shockley to take a 1-0 lead. Senior Gladych, Stefanovic and Mojdehi scored the next three straight goals to head into the second half with a 3-1 advantage.
Brown then added the lone goal of the second quarter at the 5:43 mark when Henry Fox found the back of the net to increase the Bears' lead to 4-1 by the third quarter.
MIT scored 30 seconds into the third and outscored the Bears 4-2 to take a 6-5 lead with 1:14 remaining. Fox scored with 32 seconds on the clock to tie the score at 6-6 heading into the final eight minutes.
Mojdehi and James McNamara scored the first two goals of the final quarter to take an 8-6 lead, and went to outscore MIT 4-3 in the final six minutes to earn the 12-9 victory.
Stefanovic led the scoring with four goals.
The Bears are back in action on Sunday at the Ivy Championship hosted at Yale.
