
Bears Place 6th At The Century Intercollegiate

Purchase, New York - Brown's men's golf team placed sixth at the Century Intercollegiate with a 36-hole 656. The Bears shot 332-326 at the tournament played at the 6,848 yard par-71 Century Club.
Harvard captured the team title with a 36-hole 628, winning by one shot over George Washington (629), followed by Yale (634), Temple (640), Princeton (646), Brown (656), and Cornell (661).
The teams endured cold, rain and windy conditions on Saturday, with the low score of the day being a six over 77.
Sophomore JD Ardell turned in a solid performance and finished ninth overall after shooting 81-78—159 in the 45-player field. Bears' senior captain Michael Amato shot 83-80—163 to place 22nd individually.
Freshman Peter Callas was Brown's third top scorer, shooting a solid 79 on Saturday, and finishing with 85 on Sunday for a 36-hole 164, 23rd individually. Freshman Kyohei Itamura came in with 90-83—173, while sophomore Jack Mylot shot 89-90—179.
Coach Mike Hughes' team will wrap-up its spring season at the Ivy League Championship, April 22-24, at the Galloway National Golf Club in Galloway, New Jersey.
