
NCAA Men's Soccer Final 16! Brown Hosts Saint Mary's (Calif.), Sunday, Nov. 27, at 5 p.m.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – For the second-straight year the Brown men's soccer team has advanced to the NCAA Division I Round of 16, and will host Saint Mary's (Calif.) on Sunday, November 27, at 5 p.m. on Stevenson Field. The first 500 Brown students will receive free entry to the game. All fans can buy tickets now at BrownBears.com, or by calling (401) 863-2212.
The Bears (12-4-3) were victorious in the opening round at home in a thrilling, come-from-behind contest, which saw Brown score three goals in six minutes to halt Fairfield's streak of 13-straight games without a loss.
On Sunday, Brown overcame the BIG EAST Champion and No. 9 overall seed, St. John's Red Storm at Belson Stadium, getting the game-winner from Dylan Remick (Inverness, Ill.) in the 47th minute. Junior goalkeeper Sam Kernan-Schloss (Arlington, Va.) recorded his ninth shutout and improved his record to 9-2-3 on the year.
The Bears will now match-up against Saint Mary's (Calif.) on Sunday, November 27. The Gaels are 10-6-5 overall on the year and upset No. 8 overall seed, UC Irvine, 2-1, in overtime in the 103rd minute to advance to the Third Round. SMC topped Cal-State Bakersfield in the First Round.
