Bears Complete Day One of Adams Cup

Middletown, RI - the first day of competition at the Adams Cup of Newport, the Brown men's golf team is 17th overall with a two-round 659 (330-329) at the 7,244 yard par 72 Newport National Golf Club. The University of Central Florida leads the tournament by nine shots with a first day 581.
Sophomore JD Ardell led the Brown squad with rounds of 77-80--157 to stand 53rd individually. Freshman Peter Callas shot 78-82--160 for the Bears' second best score.
Senior captain Michael Amato came in at 167 (85-82), while freshman Kyohei Itamura shot 93-85--178. Sophomore Jack Mylot also scored for teh Baers with rounds of 90-92--182.
The final round of the Adams Cup of Newport will take place Tuesday morning, September 21.
