
Brown Places Eighth At Ivy League Championship

Springfield, New Jersey - Brown posted solid scores for the second straight day, shooting 309, but finished eighth overall at the Ivy League Golf Championship held at the par-70, 7,066-yard Baltusrol Golf Club.
Columbia shot a 54-hole 890 to capture the team title by three shots over Yale (893), followed by Penn (898), Dartmouth (902), Harvard (903), Cornell (915), Princeton (021) and Brown (938).
The Bears registered four good scores on Sunday, led by freshmen JD Ardell and Jack Mylott, who shot 76 in steady rain at Baltusrol's Lower Course. Senior Michael Amato shot 78 on the final day, while freshman Chris Williams came in at 79. Senior captain John Giannuzzi came in with 85 in his final round.
Mylott was Brown's top finisher in the three round tournament with a 54-hole 234. Amato was close behind with a three-round 235.
Head coach Mike Hughes also announced that Mike Amato has been named captain of next year's team.
