No. 14 St. Francis Tops Bears in Northern Division Championship

Cambridge, MA- The Brown men's water polo squad was defeated 14-7 by St. Francis College in the CWPA Northern Division Championship game hosted at MIT this afternoon.

Both squads tallied two goals in the first quarter, but the Terriers used a big 5-1 second quarter to take a 7-3 lead and never looked back. St. Francis went on to outscore Bruno 3-2 in the third and 4-2 in the fourth to earn the Northern Division Championship.

Sophomore Svetozar Stefanovic led the Bears in scoring with two goals, while Grant Villeneuve, Brandon Yoshimura, Gordon Hood, Corey Schwartz and James McNamara each added one. Walker Shockley combined for 12 saves in net to lead the defense.
