
Bears Complete Fall Season With 13th Place Finish At The Classic At Shelter Harbor

Westerly, RI - The Brown men's golf team wrapped-up its 2010 fall season by finishing 13th at the Classic at Shelter Harbor, held at the par-71, 6695 yard Shelter Harbor Golf Club. The Bears shot a two-day 616 on rounds of 309-307.
Columbia won the team championship with a two round 588, winning the team title by nine shots over Harvard (597). Penn placed third at 598, followed by Navy (601), Dartmouth (603), Hartford (603), UConn (604), Princeton (605), Rhode Island (605), Cornell (613), Yale (614), Army (614), Brown (616), Boston College (617), Holy Cross (623) and Bryant (629).
The Bears were paced by senior captain Michael Amato who shot 149 on rounds of 73-76 to place 16th individually. Freshman Peter Callas was right behind at 150, good for 19th place individually, following rounds of 74-76.
The Bears received a boost from freshman Kyohei Itamura, who shot 74 on day two to finish at 154. Sophomore JD Ardell completed the fall with a two-day 163, shooting 82-81.
