Providence, RI - Brown men's golf coach Michael
Hughes, who just completed his first full season as head coach of
the Bears, has announced the Brown golf recruiting Class of
2013. Joining the Bears in the fall are first year
student-athletes James Ardell, Jack Mylott and Chris
Williams. Hughes expects this talented class to compete
immediately for the Bears along with some outstanding returning
players.
James Ardell
Scottsdale, AZ
Notre Dame Prep
Varsity letter winner his freshman year at Incline High School.
Also named to the Nevada All-State Academic Team. After freshman
year, his family relocated to Scottsdale, AZ, where he attended
Notre Dame Preparatory and earned three letters, helping the Saints
to back-to-back state championships. Also named to the state
scholar-athlete team for all three years at Notre Dame and was
named Notre Dame Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Has over ten top-5
finishes in Arizona junior golf tournaments including a win at the
PING AZ Match Play. Shot 65 at the Arizona Junior Championships.
President of both the Investment and American Politics Clubs at
Notre Dame, was a member of National Honor Society, and was
Valedictorian of his graduating class. Born August 21, 1990, James
Ardell is the son of Bud and Julia Ardell, and brother of Kathlin
Ardell. James plans to concentrate in Economics/Applied
Mathematical Finance.
Jack Mylott

Cardinal Mooney
Helped lead Cardinal Mooney High School (Sarasota, FL), as a Senior
and co-Captain, to the FHSAA Class 2 boys golf finals.
Finished 2nd at the FHSAA district tournament on the way to the
finals. This was only the 2nd time the school had advanced to the
Florida state finals. He was the All-Sarasota County golf
team selection in your senior year. He is the junior club champion
(2009) at Lakewood Ranch & Country Club in Bradenton, FL and
holder of the junior course record with a 67. Born January 25th,
1991 in Syracuse, NY. Dad (Bob), Mother (Kathy) and Sister
(Beth) reside in Bradenton, Fl.
Chris Williams
Washington, DC
Sidwell Friends
Four year starter and letter-winner in high school, where he helped
turn Sidwell Friends into a league power. All-Middle Atlantic
Conference (MAC) selection as a junior and senior. Placed
top-5 in the conference tournament both years. Team
MVP. Named to the Washington Post All-District team
his junior and senior seasons. Shot 76-79-74 at the AJGA New Castle
Classic, and 79-71-77 at the Lessing's AJGA Classic. In 2008,
he recorded a top 15 finish in the Maryland State Junior
Championship, shooting 76-74. Finished 11th at the
prestigious local Bubby Worsham Memorial, shooting 71-77-74. Made
the Head of School list at Sidwell Friends all eight semesters. AP
Scholar with Distinction and received a National Merit
Commendation. Born May 23, 1991 to Mary Ann Todd-Williams and Steve
