Bears Complete Round One Of Spider Fall Invitational

Midlothian, Virginia - Following the first day of competition at
the Richmond Spider Fall Invitational, the Brown women's golf
team is 13th with a 330 team total at the par-72, 6,113 yard
Independence Golf Club.
Longwood leads the 15-team field with a first round 302, followed
by Maryland (303), Richmond (313), Penn (316), Marshall (317), Penn
State (318), Old Dominion (318), Wofford (320), Hampton (320),
Cleveland State (327), Bucknell (327), High Point (329), Brown
(330), LIU (330) and Towson (332)
Sophomores Megan Tuohy and Carly Arison are the Bears top scorers,
shooting 82 in the opening round. Tuohey shot 43-39—82, while
Arison shot nine hole scores of 40-42.
Junior Sarah Guarascio and freshman Claire Straty also scored for
the Bears, with Guarascio shooting 41-42—83, and Straty
carding 44-39—83. Sophomore Heather Arison finished with a
first round 89 for the Bears.
Play will conclude on Tuesday with the second and final round.
