Sophomore guard Desmond Cambridge scored 20.3 points per game last week and earned Tournament Most Valuable Player honors as Brown earned three victories at the 2018 Brown Bears Tip-Off Classic. A native of Nashville, Tenn., Cambridge shot 45.1 percent from the field for the week as the Bears claimed the de facto team title at the Tip-Off Classic. He scored 25 points on 10-of-18 shooting in the Bears’ 82-77 win over Sacred Heart on Saturday. Cambridge netted 23 points with five rebounds and two blocks in an 82-74 victory over UMass Lowell on Friday and added 13 points, four rebounds, and three blocks in an 86-66 win over Army West Point on Sunday.
