
Men's Basketball Announces Class of 2027

Head Brown men's basketball coach Mike Martin ‘04 has announced the program’s incoming freshman class. The five-player class consists of student-athletes from four different countries in N'famara Dabo, Symeon Efstathiou, Luke Paragon, Adrian Uchidiuno, and Malcolm Wrisby-Jefferson.
“Our program is really fortunate to have these five young men joining us in the fall," Martin said. "It’s a talented and versatile group that will combine with a strong returning nucleus for 2023-24. All five come from really strong programs at the prep level and have been key members of extremely successful teams. I’m confident that this group will help Brown Basketball take another step forward in the direction we want to go.”

N'famara Dabo
Forward | 6'8" | Napa Christian | Conakry, Guinea

- Played four years at Prolific Prep of Napa Christian
- Played two years with Dream Vision
- Received the 2023 Grind Sessions Academic Award
- Three-time All-Academic Team
- Grind Session Champion in 2019-21, 2022-23
- Received a certificate of special congressional recognition by Mike Thompson
Why Brown: “I chose Brown because it's one of the best academic schools in the world and also has great basketball program. So not only I will be attending one the best in the world, but I will also have an opportunity to pursue my dream of playing professional basketball.”
Symeon Efstathiou
Forward | 6'9" | Moraitis School | Athens, Greece

- Averaged 11 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists per game in 2023
- Named to the All-MAPL team in 2023
- Helped Moraitis win an ASIS - High School Championship in 2020
- Three-time Academic Excellence Award recipient
- Averaged 16 points, nine rebounds, and four assists in his senior year at Pao BC Academy
- Has played with the Greece National Team

Luke Paragon
Guard | 6'4" | Cicero-North Syracuse | Cicero, N.Y.

- Played post grad at Blair Academy and averaged 12 points and 4.5 rebounds in 2022-23
- Averaged 20 points and eight rebounds senior year at Cicero-North Syracuse
- Two-time All-League and All-District selection
- Named 2022 NYSSWA Class AA All-State
- NYS Scholar Athlete Award recipient
- Graduated with Honors
Why Brown: "I chose Brown because I’ve always wanted to play basketball at the highest level, but I also wanted a good education. Being given the opportunity to play basketball, while also being given the opportunity to attend one of the best academic schools in the country made the choice easy for me."
Adrian Uchidiuno
Guard | 6'2" | Cushing Academy | Markham, Ontario

- Played at Cushing Academy
- Also a member of the Northern Kings and Expressions EYBL club teams
- Averaged 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.6 assists to earn Offensive Player of the Year and All-NEPSAC honors
- Went 23-10 in club action in 2023
- Member of the Honor Roll

Malcolm Wrisby-Jefferson
Guard | 6'4" | The Phelps School | New York, N.Y.

- Played at The Phelps School
- Averaged 11 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists
- Member of the National Honor Society
Why Brown: “I selected Brown University for the opportunity to experience excellent academics and athletics and also to become me a member of an elite group of student-athletes.”
