
Field Hockey Announces Four New Additions

Head Coach Britt Broady has announced Brown's four-player incoming class. The new Bears include Lucy Adams, Zita Cohen, Lexi Pellegrino, and Priya Rai.
“I’m excited to welcome Lucy, Zita, Lexi and Priya to the Brown Field Hockey family! Each of these student-athletes play an attacking and aggressive style which will accelerate our program’s growth,” said head coach Britt Broady. “They are highly skilled as a group and I look forward to finding ways in which their strengths can be highlighted within our team structure. I anticipate early contribution in their athletic careers and expect them to grow into leaders for the very exciting future of Brown Field Hockey!”
Lucy Adams
Midfield | 5-9 | Andover, Mass. | Brooks School

- Played field hockey, ice hockey, and lacrosse at the Brooks School in North Andover.
- Four-year varsity player on all three teams at Brooks and team captain as a junior and senior.
- Competed in the U19 National Indoor Tournament with the Northeast Elite 1st Team.
- MAX Field Hockey All-Region First Team and Eagle Tribune All-Star as a senior.
Why Brown: “After attending the Brown field hockey summer camp I knew this was the place I wanted to spend my next four years. Both the field hockey and the academics felt like a perfect fit and coming next fall will be a dream come true.”
Zita Cohen
Midfield | 5-8 | Riverside, Conn. | Greenwich

- Four-year starter on the Greenwich High School field hockey team. Helped the Cardinals capture the 2020 West FCIAC Championship.
- Competed with the AGH Field Hockey Club.
- Helped AGH Club take third at the U16 National Club Championship and sixth at the U19 National Club Championship.
- Named to the National Future Championship Stars and Stripes team and earned Shooting Stars Player of the Tournament honors.
Why Brown: “ I fell in love with Brown at one of the camps here a few years ago. I loved the team and the Atmosphere and was drawn to the excellent academics and athletics.”
Lexi Pellegrino
Forward | 5-5 | Westwood, Mass. | The Winsor School
- Played field hockey, ice hockey, and tennis at The Winsor School in Boston, Massachusetts and started every game in the three field hockey seasons played.
- Set a school record with 27 goals as a freshman and followed with 32 goals as a sophomore in 2019
- Helped Winsor capture the NEPSAC Class C Tournament in 2018, 2019, and 2021.
- Named EIL All-League as a sophomore and senior in 2019 and 2021.
- Competed with the East Coast Wizards Field Hockey Club.

Priya Rai
Forward/Midfield | 5-4 | Surrey, British Columbia | Ecole Salish Secondary
- Played field hockey at Ecole Salish Secondary in Surrey, British Columbia.
- 2017 Dianna Popowich Award for Outstanding Skill and Sportsmanship recipient
- 2017 U16 West Coast Tournament champion
- 2017, 2018 Vancouver Women's Field Hockey League champion
- Named to Honor Roll in every semester of high school.
