2016: Appeared in 15 games, staring 14 for the Bears … Registered her first-collegiate point on an assist against Rider (Sept. 10) … Closed out her career with an assist in a 4-3 come-from-behind win over Yale (Nov. 5).
2015: Started all 17 games for the Bears.
2014: Appeared in 10 games ... Recorded shots against Siena on October 5 and Saint Joseph's on November 2.
2013: Appeared in four contests while adjusting to the collegiate game … Made her career debut against Providence, where she registered one shot.
Before Brown: Played field hockey at Glastonbury High School for four years, before doing a post-grad year at Loomis Chaffee … Earned All-American and Founders League All-Star honors in 2012 after tallying 14 goals and 24 assists at Loomis … Captained the field hockey team at Glastonbury in 2011, earning All-American honors … Was a two-time All-State, two-time First Team All-Courant, and three-time All-Conference selection while at Glastonbury … Set all-time Glastonbury school record for career goals (78) with a season-best 35 as a junior … Member of National Honor Society and NFHCA National Academic Squad honoree.
Personal: The daughter of John and Carmela Zavalick, Leah has one brother, Zachary, and one sister, Maddy … Cousin, Lindsey (Glennon) Finnegan ’07, played both ice hockey and lacrosse at Brown … Enjoys singing, dancing and acting … Psychology concentration.
