
Women’s Rugby 2026 Season Preview

The Brown Women’s Rugby program will begin its 2026 fall season at Berylson Family Field on Sept. 5 against Navy.

LOOKING AHEAD
In the 2025-26 season, Brown finished 18-11 overall with a 2-5 record in conference play. The Bears are set to play three home games and four away this fall.
The Bears have announced their captains for the year as seniors Lily Nowak, Valentine Detheux, and junior Asha Davis will be part of the leadership group.

THE SCHEDULE
Brown will play seven regular-season games this fall, highlighted by three on Berylson Family Fields.
The Bears will open their season on Saturday against Navy at home. They will then travel to Cambridge the following weekend to play Harvard on Sept. 12 at 4 p.m.
The next four games will be away from Providence. The Bears will travel to Annapolis, Md., to compete against Lindenwood. Following that, they also play American International College and Queens before returning home to face Southern Nazarene.
Brown’s regular season finale falls against Dartmouth on Oct. 31 at 12 p.m.

NEWCOMERS
Brown welcomed nine newcomers to the team for the Class of 2030.
The nine members are Anne-Marie Banas, Angie Bazzoni, Sarah Callahan, Annie Hall, Maggie Hoffman-Long, Zion Lavoe, Giselle Long, Kayak Schimpf, and Theodora Tuitopou.
