
Women's Tennis Fall Season Preview

Brown women’s tennis is set to begin its fall season on Friday, Sept. 18 at the Bulldog Invitational hosted by Yale.
Head Coach Lucie Schmidhauser enters her eighth season leading the program. Jurence Mendoza returns as an assistant coach for a second season, joined by Max Schmidhauser in his first.
This year’s roster consists of three seniors, three juniors, three sophomores, and four first-years.

The Schedule
After opening the fall season at Yale, the Bears will compete in the ITA All-American Championships in Cary, N.C. from Sept. 19-27.
The Bears will then compete in the Hall of Fame Invitational in Newport, R.I. from Sept. 25-27.
The season continues as the Bears compete in the ITA New England Regionals (Oct. 8-11) in New Haven, Conn.
Brown will return home to host the Brown Classic on Oct. 17-18. The event will take place at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
The Bears will head to the Ivy Invitational in New York, N.Y. on Oct. 23-25.
The ITA Sectional Championships and Conference Masters will both take place from Nov. 5-8 in Cary, N.C. and Rome, Ga., respectively.
Brown will close out its fall slate at the Big Green Invitational hosted by Dartmouth (Nov. 6-8).

Returning Players
Nine players from the 2025-26 roster will make their return to College Hill.
Abigail Lee returns for the 2026-27 season with a total of 26 singles wins last season. She also recorded nine doubles wins when paired with Chloe Qin.
Ali Maguy completed last season with a total of 19 singles wins. She earned a total of nine doubles wins when paired with Anne Yang.
Anne Yang returns after recoding 18 singles wins last season.
The Bears recorded a 16-8 record last year, finishing an impressive 11-1 at home.

Newcomers
Four first-years are set to make their debut as Brown Bears this season.
