
Men's Basketball 2025-26 Season Preview

The Brown men’s basketball team will open its 2025-26 campaign against Siena on Friday, Nov. 7, tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside the Pizzitola Sports Center. Brown will then welcome Vermont on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m.

2024-25 Recap
Last season, Brown finished with a 14-13 overall record and a 6-8 mark in Ivy League play. Brown’s eight wins at home were the most since the 2019-20 season.
The Bears finished non-conference play with an 8-5 record, it was the ninth time they finished non-conference play with a winning record under Men’s Basketball Head Coaching Chair Mike Martin ‘04.

New Faces on College Hill
Brown welcomed four newcomers ahead of the 2025-26 season: Jonah Drezner, Isaiah Langham, Brady Loughlin, and Charlie O’Sullivan. Read more about the class of 2029 here.

Coaching Staff Updates
Men’s Basketball Head Coaching Chair Mike Martin ‘04 announced the additions of Omar Lowery and Ta-Rel Franklin to the coaching staff. Lowery joins as an assistant coach while Franklin joins as the operations coordinator. Read more about Lowery and Franklin here.
Additionally, Martin announced the promotions of Tyson Wheeler and DeVon Price, Wheeler was promoted to associate head coach while Price was promoted to assistant coach after serving as the operations coordinator last season.

The Front Court
Brown returns four members of its front court from last season in Landon Lewis, N’famara Dabo, David Rochester, and Wyatt DeGraaf.
Last season, Lewis averaged a career-high 13.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game in 28.9 minutes played. The Los Angeles, Calif. native scored in double figures in 19 out of 23 appearances, scored 15 or more points in 11 out of 23 appearances, and scored 20 or more points on three separate occasions.
Dabo had five or more blocks in four different games last season, he shot 57.1 percent from the floor. Rochester made 23 appearances as a freshman last season, while shooting 38.9 percent from the field. DeGraaf appeared in 12 games as a freshman last season and shot 61.5 percent from the floor.
Senior Drew Kania is set to return to the court this season after missing the 2024-25 season due to injury.

The Back Court
Brown returns a number of players who played significant minutes last season. Malcolm Wrisby-Jefferson returns after appearing in all 27 games and earning 19 starts, both were a career high. The junior averaged 5.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game last season.
Jeremiah Jenkins appeared in 22 games while starting two games. The sophomore had two or more steals in three games last season, highlighted by four against Rhode Island.
Other notable back court returners include Alexander Lesburt Jr., Adrian Uchidiuno, Luke Paragon, and Jerrell Barron Jr.

The Schedule
Brown will play 14 non-conference games this season, including seven inside the Pizzitola Sports Center. The Bears will play all three Division I Rhode Island programs in December at Rhode Island (Dec. 2), against Bryant (Dec. 5), and at Providence (Dec. 9).
The Bears will also host the Brown Bears Invitational against Hampton (Nov. 14) and Holy Cross (Nov. 18), Brown will also travel to USC (Dec. 21).
Ivy League play will begin on Monday, Jan. 5 against Yale at home, the Bears will conclude the 2025-26 regular season at home against Penn (Mar. 6).
