White and Bernard Win Ivy Titles to Highlight Final Day of Heps

PRINCETON, N.J. – Chris White took home the men's javelin title and Rudecia Bernard won her second career Ivy title in the women's high jump to highlight Sunday's final day of competition at the Ivy League Heps Championships.
On a cool and rainy day, Brown women finished in fourth place with 65 points, while the men totaled 38 points for seventh place. Brown's men's team earned three marks that rank in the top 10 on the program's all-time list, including the times run by both the 4x100 and 4x800 relay teams. The women's team had six program top-10 marks on Sunday, including Bernard's winning jump tying her own mark for No. 2 all-time. Senior Lauren Yeboah-Kodie earned a pair of third place finishes in the long and triple jumps.

Brown picked up 16 points in the javelin with White leading the way in first place at 65.48 meters. It is the first career Ivy title for White. He was joined on the podium in third place by freshman Eddie Webb, who also set a new PR at 61.70 meters.
Marcus Gillespie scored a point in sixth place of the 110m hurdles in 14.29 seconds.
The Bears earned a pair of fifth place finishes from both the 4x1 and 4x8 relays teams. Solomon Miller, Zach Love, Elias Archie and Daniel Sarisky combined for a time of 41.10 in the 4x100m, which is tied for sixth in program history. The 4x800 squad of Jesse Edelstein, Jake Haley, Matthew Doherty and John Ryan finished in 7:25.68, which ranks fourth in program history.

For Bernard, it marks her second career Ivy League title, and helps her sweep the high jump titles this season after claiming the indoor high jump crown back in February. Her leap that cleared 1.79 meters on Sunday tied her own record for the No. 2 ranking in program history. The Bears also had two other scorers in the top five of the high jump, with Chiamaka Odenigbo taking home the bronze with a third place leap of 1.72 meters, while Nene Mokonchu also cleared 1.72 meters to finish fifth.
In the long jump, Yeboah-Kodie took third place at 6.08 meters, while Jada Joseph finished in sixth place at 6.02 meters, which tied her own PR for seventh in program history. The same duo scored in the triple jump, with Yeboah-Kodie taking third once again at 12.82 meters, and Joseph finishing fifth at 12.17 meters.
Jenna Lowrey finished in fifth place of the 400 meter finals in 56.33 seconds. Lauren Yeboah-Kodie earned a bronze medal for her third place finish of 14.05 in the 100 meter hurdle finals.
Brown's 4x400m relay team of Kate Scanlan, Alyssa Jackson, Elle Riley and Jenna Lowrey finished in fourth place and ran the ninth fastest time in program history in 3:44.83. The 4x800m team finished in seventh place with a time of 8:49.26, which placed them seventh and ranks as the seventh fastest time in program history.
In the shot put, Kendra Ezeama finished third overall on the podium at 14.70 meters, which ranks her sixth all-time at Brown. Julia'Belle Reyfman finished fourth overall in the javelin at 39.46 meters.
In the heptathlon, Delaney Seligmann (4th/4,659) and Rosie Volpintesta (6th/4,473) both scored points with Seligmann's new PR ranking seventh in program history.
