
Women's Lacrosse Hosts Columbia Friday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's lacrosse team will return to Ivy action this Friday, March 24 at 4 p.m. when they welcome Columbia to Stevenson-Pincince Field.
The Bears will be looking to match their 2-0 start to Ivy play from last season, which was their first since 2014. Columbia will be in search of its first Ivy win after suffering losses to Penn and Cornell.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Scouting the Bears (4-3, 1-0 Ivy)
- Brown had its best offensive showing of the season earlier this week in their 21-13 win over Bryant. Mia Mascone matched her career high of seven points against the Bulldogs.
- Greta Criqui and Carly Camphausen each scored four goals in the Bryant game, career-high marks for both.
- Annie Burton continues to lead the team with 14 goals on the season, while Mascone has a team highs in both assists (8) and points (21).
- Columbia is in the midst of a four-game skid with losses to UC Davis and William & Mary following their first two Ivy contests.
- Cecelia Messner leads the Lions with 18 goals and 21 points. The freshman has scored a goal in all eight of Columbia's games this season, including multi-goal performances in each of the last five contests.
- Ella Sangree has started all eight games in goal and owns a 12.14 goals against average and a .450 save percentage.
- Brown leads the all-time series over Columbia at 21-2 and has been victorious in the last two matchups.
- Last season, the Bears used a 7-0 run to open up a 7-1 lead and grab control of the game early. They eventually won 14-9.
- Jessie Bakes (3G) and Leah Caputo (1G, 2A) each had three points in the contest.
