Providence, R.I. - Brown senior All-American attackman Dylan Molloy (Setauket, NY) has been named a Senior CLASS First Team All-American. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition.
An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School®, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.
Molloy is the reigning Tewaaraton Award winner as the nation's outstanding player and the third leading goal scorer (197) in NCAA history. A team captain, he is Brown's all-time leader with 318 career points, sixth all-time in the NCAA record book. He's a three-time All-American, a two-time Ivy League Player of the Year and the 2016 USILA Outstanding Player of the Year and Attackman of the Year.
A Business, Entrepreneurship and Organizations concentrator at Brown, Molloy is also an Academic All-American and an All-New England Scholar Athlete. He was a major promoter of the WallBall Challenge, a summer long crowd sourced fundraiser to help support US Lacrosse First Stick Youth Lacrosse Program that helps grow the sport. The First Stick program seeks to expand participation beyond traditional boundaries and inspire kids to play hard, dream big and act responsibly within the sport of lacrosse and the game of life
