PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Senior Heidi Caldwell (Hanover, N.H.) placed 11th overall to lead the Brown University women's cross country team as the Bears finished seventh at the 2013 Ivy League Heptagonal Championships Saturday morning at Princeton's Windsor Fields.
Brown finished with 174 points, while Dartmouth claimed the title with 38 total points.
Caldwell was the top finisher for the Bears as she completed the 6-kilometer course in a time of 20:58.8. Junior Leah Eickhoff (Hanover, N.H.) finished at 29th with a time of 21:41:0, while sophomore Lily Harrington (West Hartford, Conn.) took 35th as she crossed the finish line in a time of 21:47.8.
Sophomore Kate Buss (Blacksburg, Va.) and freshman Lucy Van Kleunen (Philadelphia, Pa.) placed 48th and 51st, respectively, in times of 22:13.8 and 22:33.7 to round out the Brown scorers. Also competing for the Bears were junior Alexandra Conway (Manchester, N.H.) and freshman Taylor Worthy (Medfield, Mass.). Conway finished at 22:38.6, while Worthy completed the course in a time of 22:40.7.
The Bears return to action on Friday, Nov. 15 for the NCAA Northeast Regional meet at Van Cortlandt Park.
