Women's XC Earns 11th at NCAA Northeast Regionals

Buffalo, NY- The Brown women's cross country team finished in 11th out of 36 teams overall at the 2011 NCAA Northeast Regionals hosted at the University at Buffalo at the Audubon Golf Course. Leading the Bears were sophomores Heidi Caldwell and Margaret Connelly, who finished in 15th and 16th place, respectively.

Caldwell ran the 6,000m course in 21:14.9, and Connelly came in right behind with a 21:16.3. Brown's next finisher was senior Ari Garber with a 21:51.2 (41st), followed by junior Elaine Kuckertz with a 22:28.7 (76th), and freshman Abigail Jones finished with a 22:50.7 (93rd) to round out the scorers for the Bears.

Also competing for the Bears today was senior Rosie Fleming, who ran a 23:02.4 (102nd) and sophomore Kat Grimes posted a 23:05.5 (105th).
