Men’s & Women’s XC Compete at New England Championships

Boston, MA- The Brown University men's and women's cross country teams competed at the 2011 New England Championships on Saturday afternoon at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. The men's squad earned 15th overall with 414 points, while the women's squad came in 24th with 648 points.

Abigail Jones (19:20) led the women's team this afternoon with an 83rd place finish, and Elizabeth Ryan (105) followed close behind with a 19:36. Taylor Williams (134) earned a 20:01 and Abigail Braiman (160) turned in a 20:22. Rounding out the scorers was Connie Emerson (166) with a 20:28.

For the men, the Bears were led by a 69th place finish by Colin Savage (26:11), followed by an 80th place by Ethan Hickey (26:20), 85th by Benjamin Stephenson, and 88th by Mark McGurrin (26:25).

Dana Dourdeville finished 92nd overall with a 26:30 to round out the scorers for the Bears. Also running today was Kyler Evitt (26:39) and Evan Roelke (27:20).
