Ten Bears Earn Fall Academic All-Ivy
Providence, RI- The Ivy League released its fall list of Academic All-Ivy honorees, with 10 Brown student-athletes being recognized. The five males and five females were starters or key reserves on their respective varsity teams and carry a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average.

Connelly Leads Women at NCAA Northeast Regionals
Madison, Conn. – The Brown University men's and women's cross country teams competed in the final meet of the 2010 season at the NCAA Northeast Regionals on Saturday afternoon held at Hammonnasset State Park . The men finished eighth overall with 240 points in the 35-team field, while the women earned seventh with 226 points.

Men’s & Women’s Cross Country Set for Ivy Heps on Friday
Providence, RI- The Brown University men's and women's cross country teams are ready to compete at the 2010 Ivy League Heptagonal Cross Country Championships held at Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, N.Y. tomorrow. The women's 5k race is set to begin at 11 a.m., followed by the men's five-mile race at 11:45 a.m.

Connelly Leads Women's Cross Country to Third Place at Ivy Heps
Bronx, NY- Freshman Margaret Connelly's time of 17:29.5 during the 2010 Ivy League Cross Country Heptagonal Championships this afternoon not only earned her a fifth-place finish overall, but it was the fastest time that any Brown runner has ever run at Van Cortlandt Park. The Bears finished in third place overall with 63 points, as Connelly earned First Team All-Ivy honors and both Lauren Pischel and Elaine Kuckertz were named to the Second Team.

Bears Claim First Annual Rothenberg Invitational Title
East Greenwich, RI The Brown University men's and women's cross country team had an outstanding day as both teams earned the Rothenberg Invitational title at Goddard State Park this afternoon. Led by freshman Margaret Connelly, the women combined for 18 points, as Boston College followed behind with 60 and Rhode Island totaled 99. The men's squad tallied 15 points and were led by junior Matt Duffy, as Harvard followed with 62 points and Rhode Island with 70.

Brown Cross Country Hosts First Annual Rothenberg Race
East Greenwich, RI- The Brown University cross country and track & field program will host several collegiate teams at Goddard State Park this afternoon for the first annual Rothenberg Race, named in honor of Bob and Anne Rothenberg for their integral role in the Brown Cross Country and Track & Field development. The mens 8k race will start at 3:00 p.m. and the womens 5k will begin at 3:40 p.m.

Bears Compete at New England Championships
The Brown University men's and women's cross country teams competed at the New England Championships at Franklin Park this weekend. The women's squad finished 21st overall with 590 points in the 47-team field, and the men's team combined for 535 points for 23rd place. Both teams had some solid performances as the rookie runners gained some valuable experience that will help Bruno in meets to come.

Cross Country Competes at Paul Short Invitational
Bethlehem, PA- The Brown University mens and womens cross country team competed at the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh this morning. The womens team turned in a strong 12th place performance with 389 points in the 41-team field Gold division, while the men finished 23rd overall with 640 points in a 42-team field in the Gold division.

Tim Springfield Joins Brown Cross Country/Track & Field Staff
Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Michelle Eisenreich has recently announced the addition of Tim Springfield to her staff. Springfield joined the staff in September 2010, with the title of Head Men's Cross Country Coach/Assistant Track & Field Coach - Distance. Prior to Brown, he coached at the University of St. Thomas (Minnesota) and at the University of Wisconsin.

Bronx, NY- Freshman Margaret Connelly was the top runner and top freshman for the Brown womens cross country team at the Iona Meet of Champions on Saturday afternoon to help the Bears finish just two points out of first.

Women's Cross Country Opens Season at Boston College Invitational
Boston, MA- The Brown University mens and womens cross country team opened the 2010 season at the Boston College Invitational today at Franklin Park. The freshmen were able to gain valuable experience running in their first collegiate meet, and showed great potential for the upcoming season.
