      <title>Cross Country Teams Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors</title>

      <description>Providence, RI- Both the Brown University men's and women's cross country team received USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors, the organization announced this afternoon. The men's team is one of 135 Division I men's program to receive the honor for the 2009 season, up from 110 in 2008, while the women are one of 176 teams honored, up from 162 in 2008.</description>

      <title>Cross Country Competes in NCAA Northeast Regionals</title>

      <description>Boston, MA- The men's and women's cross country team recently competed in the NCAA Northeast Regional meet at Franklin Park.  The men's team was led by a 10th place finish by Christian Escareno, who earned a spot to compete in the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championship at Indiana State.  The women's team was led by a 17th place finish by Ariel Wright, as the squad finished ninth overall with 215 points.</description>

      <title>Brown Cross Country Competes at CCSU</title>

      <description>New Britain, CT- The Brown University cross country teams competed at the CCSU Mini Meet this morning at Stanley Quarter Park. The women's squad earned second place with 42 points in the ten-team field, and the men's team finished in fourth with 117 points in the 11-team field.  While both the men and women held their top 11 runners at home to gear up for the Ivy League's Heptagonal Championships this weekend, Head Coach Craig Lake gave some of her younger runners a chance to gain experience and compete against a talented field.</description>
