Jason Gall Steps Down as Head Water Polo Coach

July 20, 2007

Providence, RI - After three successful seasons at the helm of both the men's and women's water polo teams at Brown, Jason Gall has stepped down to become the head coach of the women's water polo team at Cal State Bakersfield.

Gall led both Brown water polo teams to winning records and appearances in the national Top 20 during his tenure. Over three seasons, the Brown women went 53-41, while the Brown men went 39-31. Both squads had two second-place finishes and one third-place finish at the Northern Division Championship during that time, and had two-time team highs of fifth-place finishes at the Eastern Championship.

This past season, the Brown women's team achieved victories over nationally ranked Michigan and Long Beach State, and ended its season ranked #18 in the country. The men reached as high as #19 in the national poll during the 2006 season.

A national search for Gall's successor will begin immediately.
