The future of Brown women's water polo looks bright for next year. Several freshmen earned significant playing time for the Bears this season, and the Class of 2007 should make an instant impact as well.
Brown will see its first Australian player in defensive specialist Claire Angyal from Sydney. At 2-meter offense, Brown will add two new players to the line-up. Elizabeth Balassone comes from Menlo School in Atherton, California and Meredith Daniels hails from Naperville Central in Illinois. Head Coach Todd Clapper is very excited to add Elizabeth and Meredith to the Bears' inside game. Both players are extremely hard working and will add to the physical presence at 2-meters.
Paige Lansing comes to Brown from Newport Harbor High School in Newport, California. Lansing will be a great all around player for the Bears and will join the team with a very high level of understanding of the game. Caitlin Fahey comes from Seattle, Washington, and will add a lot of speed to the line-up.
The Class of 2007 is a tremendous group of athletes, with maturity, talent, and a strong work ethic. Clapper expect that quite a few leaders emerge from this group.
