Providence, RI - Brown sophomore Lauren Presant (Poway, CA) has been named the CWPA Northern Division Player of the Week. Presant scored 15 goals in five games last week, as the Bears traveled to California to play some of the top teams in the country over Spring Break.
Presant's top game on the week came Thursday in a 14-13 Brown win over Cal State Monterey Bay, as she scored six goals. She carried momentum from that game into the team's Friday game with 10th-ranked UC-Davis, scoring four times in a 12-7 loss. Presant finished the week with two of the Bears' five goals in a 16-5 loss to #2 Stanford and two of the team's three goals in a 14-3 loss to #5 Cal-Berkeley. She also had three assists, all against Stanford, and five steals for the week.
On the season, Presant leads the Bears with 48 goals in 17 games. She is the second Brown player to be named Player of the Week this season, joining sophomore Sarah Glick (Bonita, CA), who received the honor on March 17.
