Brown Women's Water Polo's Remaining Home Games Moved to Harvard

Feb. 21, 2007

Due to the temporary closing of the Smith Swim Center, the Brown women's water polo team will play its two remaining home games at Harvard University's Blodgett Pool. The Bears, who are currently ranked 20th in the country, were scheduled to host #13 Hartwick this Saturday, and Harvard on Wednesday, March 14. Both matches will now be played in Cambridge, with start times of 6 p.m. for this Saturday's game and 8 p.m. for the Harvard contest.

Brown opened its season two weekends ago, hosting the Ivy Tournament and going undefeated. That performance vaulted the Bears, who were ranked 20th in the preseason poll but had fallen out before their season opener, back into the Top 20. This weekend's contest with Hartwick will be the first of at least nine games for Brown against teams ranked in the most recent poll, with more possible in tournament play.
