Bears Fall to US Olympic Team, 14-5 in Exhibition Contest

PROVIDENCE, RI - The women's water polo team dropped a 14-5 decision to the US National team in an exhibition contest on Wednesday evening at the Smith Swim Center. Brown was led by senior Jeanie Ward-Waller (San Antonio, TX), who notched one goal, two assists, and three steals.

The Bears also received goals from seniors Jackie Parente (Los Angeles, CA) and Sonia Lamel (Lafayette, CA), sophomore Allison Biner (Moraga, CA), and freshman Paige Lansing (Newport Beach, CA). Biner and Lamel each added one assist in the loss, along with freshman Claire Angyal (Sydney, Australia), who notched one assist.

In net for Brown, senior Keira Heggie (Miami, FL) notched four saves. The Bears continue action this weekend when they take part in the Northeastern Championships, which will be hosted by Utica.
